Aircraft Background

The Boeing B737-800 is a stretched version of the 737-700, a 737 Next Generation model manufactured by Boeing. It replaced the 737-400 and primarily competes with the Airbus A320. The 737-800 launched on September 5th, 1994. The layout is a 6-abreast full economy seating style in a 3-3 configuration.

History

Boeing launched the variant in 1994, and the first one was delivered in April 1998. The 737-800 is the best-selling variant of the 737NG series and is the most widely used narrow-body aircraft.
